Avocado Grilled Cheese

This is a tasty treat for when I feel like splurging a little. It's still decent calorie wise, but is a little higher fat and lower protein for my day to day needs.

What you'll need:

  • Two slices is bread (you can use whatever suits your caloric needs. If you're trying to keep it low try the weight watchers bread. It's pretty low in the calorie department.)
  • Half of one avocado
  • 30g of cheddar cheese (or however much you want really)
  • pepper
  • Cooking spay
What to do!

First, start by mashing the avocado in a bowl with some pepper to taste (try adding some chopped peppers if you like too!). Using a fork works best. Now slice your cheese. I sliced mine really thin so I could have cheese on both sides of the avocado! Now that the prep is done, you can begin cooking. 

Heat your frying pan to just under medium heat. Spray the pan with the cooking spray and lay down two pieces of bread. Once they begin to toast, build your sandwich. I put the freshly toasted sides on the inside and toast the outsides for another 4 minutes each side. I find it covering it helps make the cheese extra gooey.
