Shrimp Kabobs

Day two of BBQ week. I entertained a few guests with these ones (hence the large number of them in the photos). You can put whatever your little heart desires on these fellas.

I went with these ingredients:

  • Shrimp
  • Yellow pepper
  • Mushrooms
  • Zucchini
  • Corn (on the cob!)
Now for assembling these bad boys, it's pretty simple. Soak some bamboo skewers in water for a half hour or so. Toss the vegetables in a tbsp of olive oil and pepper then put the food on the bamboo sticks. For some firmer ingredients like the corn cobs, you will want to pre-poke holes for the skewer. I used a tiny screwdriver I washed.

Toss them on the grill.

Cook rotating every 2 or 3 minutes for 10 minutes at 450-500.

It's a kabob folks, not a jet engine, so have fun with these.

And yes, that is the stem of a wine glass at the top of the photo. Red wine for the win (Why you should drink red wine).

Bye bye for now!
