The ingredients I used for this are:
Cooking instructions:
I started by steaming the shrimp in a covered pan (these were frozen shrimp so I didn't need to add any water, just tossed a very LIGHT coat of oil on the pan and the water from the shrimp steamed themselves). I had 20 or so medium sized shrimp to meed my protein needs for this meal, and they steamed on medium for probably 10 minutes.
I then removed the shrimp and added the vegetables. I steamed these too (didn't add anymore oil!) with about a 1/4 cup of water, and some pepper to taste. While the vegetables were steaming I removed the tails from the shrimp. After about 10 minutes, covered, on medium heat I tossed about a tsp of fresh ginger in with the veg, as well as a tbsp of soya sauce. I let those soak in for two or three minutes then I added the shrimp and about two tbsp of sweet chilli sauce.
This sauce is available in the asian section of most grocery stores (or at least they have something similar). The great thing about this sauce is it's very sweet. But, as sweet as it is, it's twice as hot, so you tend to not over do it.
I then turned the burner down to low at let the flavors get to know each other for five minutes or so.
THEN I ATE IT.
Bye,
Shawn
*sigh*...if only Jeff would eat seafood...
