I must say, my first tilapia experience was terrible. I was in Cuba and had some "fresh" tilapia at the resort I stayed at. It was questionable, and I was turned off for a while. But, recently I tried it again, and I LOVED it this time around! This is a simple recipe for tilapia. It also tastes great with sole and haddock.
What you will need:
- Tilapia (or some other white fish)
- Lemon
- 1 clove of garlic
- Salt and pepper
- Parsley to garnish if you like
Let's make stuff!
Preheat oven to 375. Place tilapia fillet on a parchment paper lined pan. If you're like me, you would now vigorously crack a lot of fresh pepper all over it. But, if you don't love pepper, just toss a little bit on for seasoning. Next, dice a small-ish clove of garlic. Sprinkle a little on the fillet, then add two or three slices of lemon on top. Toss this in the oven for 12 minutes. When you remove it, juice a little lemon on top and garnish with the parsley!
And boom! Robert's your father's brother.
Bye!
