I drink a lot of green tea every day. Not just for these following reasons, but because I love the taste of it! But, if you're looking for some reasons to drink this delicious stuff more often, here are a few!
1. Fat oxidation is one of most well know benefits of green tea. Green tea contains an active ingredient call Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG has been shown to increase fat oxidation by up to 70%!
2. Protection against cardiovascular disease, heart disease, and strokes!
3. Prevents tooth decay! This one is a personal favourite. I'm a little nuts about dental care, and the fact that green tea kills the bacterias that cause dental plaques is amazing!
4. Helps with liver function. That's right, green tea even helps prevent the damaging effects of alcohol on the liver! Who knew!? (Scientists.)
5. Aids in digestion. Evidence also shows that it helps prevent colon cancer!
