The base of this recipe is cottage cheese of course. But, not just any cottage cheese; You'll need a low sodium cottage cheese. Try and find a brand with less than 250mg of sodium per 125g. Most low sodium brands have around 230mg of sodium.
What you will need:
- 1 cup of low sodium cottage cheese (I use 1% low sodium)
- 1/3 cup of frozen fruit (I like strawberries!)
- 1 packet of powdered stevia extract
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract (use the natural stuff over the simulated if you can)
- 1/4 cup of milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I have used regular milk as well, and soy works too)
What you should do with them:
Toss'r back!
Now if you are in more of a smoothie mood, add a little more milk or water.
