So you love green tea, or you're trying to find more ways to fit it into your diet. Well here are five ways you can enjoy the stuff!
1. Green tea smoothies and protein shakes.
I use green tea in a number of ways in my protein shakes. Sometimes I blend it in a smoothie with frozen bananas, and almond milk. I occasionally mix vanilla protein powder with chilled green tea! It's a great way to add some green tea to your day!
2. Green tea lattes.
There are a few ways you can do this. You can make it with matcha powder, tea bag, or loose leaf tea. once you've selected your tea, you can simply make the tea with steamed milk of your choice. And, if you don't have an espresso machin to steam milk, you can just as easily heat it up on the stove, or in the microwave!
3. Iced Green tea
My favourite recipe for iced green tea is simple. I steep three tea bags in two cups of water, then add 1 cup of cold water. I then add the juice of one lemon, grate a little fresh ginger in it, and serve it on ice!
4. Green tea pudding.
Now this one is more of an occasional treat. You simply take vanilla pudding mix, make it according to the package and add 1 tsp to 1 tbsp of matcha green tea powder (depending on how much tea flavour you want!).
- Side note, if you would like something similar with more protein you can blend 1/2 cup of cottage cheese with a frozen banana, two 1g packs of stevia, 1/4 of a tsp of vanilla, and a tsp of green tea powder, and you have yourself a low calorie version packed with protein.
5. Steeped green tea.
I enjoy a glass of this everyday (sometimes more than one.. sometimes more than two..). You can use whatever green tea you like!
