Take some getting used to.

Ha, ok, so this isn't going to be as easy to remember as I thought. I figured I would have posted a few other posts by now but apparently I haven't. But since last post my new band played a show at Babas Lounge and had a great performance. And since then I have realized I am not as comfortable with a guitar as I once was in high school.

Before I was introduced to the drums, guitar was my go to instrument. I played guitar in a few cover bands and a really awesome church band for some churchy-youth stuff.  So I had assumed that this reunion of myself and a guitar in front of a non dinner theatre audience would make me feel spectacular. While I must admit that I did have a wonderful time and definitely want to do it again, but I couldn't help miss being behind the drums. It made me realize I need to get back behind the kit in a new band in a bad way. Preferably to play the genre that really makes me groove. I GOTS TO HAVE ME SOME FUNK!

That being said I do get to play in a cover band with some superb musicians at the run for the cure this June. There is already talks of a Jackson 5 medley which makes me happy.

Music aside, my life has been busy with work, and video games... Mostly Minecraft... A lot of Minecraft.
